On any given night 567,715 people experience homelessness in America. We're committed to seeing that decrease through a unique mobile-first approach.
Our mobile-first approach ensures our homeless friends get the personalized care and resources they need and deserve.
We seek to serve all with compassion and unconditional love. We cherish these six values that underpin why Metro Relief exists.
Our Values
-
Compassionate
Compassionate
With the Good Samaritan Story as our model, we offer multiple pathways to new life and restoration. We look at the whole person; addressing trauma and complex needs, ensuring individuals can manage their emotional well-being. As we show patient compassion to our friends, our desire is to see positive outcomes in their lives. Hygiene kits, nutritious food, clothing, socks, home items, water and vital documentation assistance are consistent expressions of Metro Relief's compassion every day.

Our desire is to move toward people and not necessarily expect them to find us - this is a key principle. It’s a relentless pursuit, with the intent to find solutions for our friends and to create for them a pathway leading to stability and permanent shelter.
Our street outreach team go out to connect with people who may be sleeping rough or begging. As they build trust they can help people with housing or rehab. The team is easily recognizable in their Metro Relief shirts and vehicles.

Person Centered
Person Centered
In order to navigate the deep complexities of finding answers for the lives of our friends on the street, we understand that building trust is paramount. We take time to "see them" and to engage them providing a context of mutual trust. We recognize that the ability to listen, respond and follow through on promises given and to remember names and stories is essential for assisting someone in deep despair.

Solution Focused
